about us

Established in 1971, Madison Street UMC Preschool provides a play-based learning experience for children ages 1 through 4. We focus on the social and foundational aspects of development through a curriculum tailored to each specific age group.

Curriculum & Enrichment

Our "Legacy of Learning" ensures your child gains the tools needed to excel in elementary school while having fun.

Core Fundamentals: Age-appropriate exploration of shapes, colors, letters, and numbers.

Weekly Enrichment: Dedicated time for Library, Music, and Chapel.

Creative Activities: Integrated literacy, story-time, and hands-on artwork.

Social Growth: Emphasis on sharing, cooperation, following directions, and self-control.

On-Site "Field Trips": Special activities brought directly to our safe, supervised environment.

When considering registration and class placement, please remember that we follow the state of TN guidelines and CMCSS recommendation that students be placed in the age level class for the age they are on/before August 15 of the current year. This ensures timely progress into Kindergarten.

Please note that students are placed in classrooms in random order. In an effort to keep our classrooms balanced, we are not able to accommodate placement requests. Students remain in their designated age group for the entire school year to ensure timely and accurate progress.
